ZIK.AIR — Terms of Service & Artist Agreement
Beta Version
Welcome to ZIK.AIR — an internet radio station made for AI music, for the people who create it, and for everyone who loves to listen. We play music in English, Spanish, Russian, French, Hebrew and a few other languages.
ZIK.AIR (also "Zik AI Radio", "the Station", "we", "us" or "the Operator") is currently run by an individual operator, not a company, and is in an early beta phase. These Terms are an agreement between you and the Operator. By listening, creating an account or uploading music, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use ZIK.AIR.
We've kept these Terms as friendly and readable as we could. Please read them anyway — especially the artist sections. They explain what you give us, what you get, and what happens if something goes wrong.
1. The Short Version
This summary is here to help. If anything in it differs from the full Terms below, the full Terms apply.
For listeners
- Listening is free. We don't charge for the stream, wherever you listen.
- Live only. Please don't record, rip or re-stream the broadcast.
- Keep the chart honest. No bots, fake accounts or coordinated voting.
- Be kind in the comments. No hate, harassment or spam.
For artists
- Free for artists. No fees to upload, get reviewed, aired or featured. The license you give us is free too: ZIK.AIR doesn't pay fees or royalties for airplay. Sponsors, and in the future ads, help keep the station free — artists don't receive a share of that income.
- AI music only. Made fully with AI, or by you together with AI. Purely human-made songs aren't accepted.
- Your song, your rights. You keep ownership. Upload only original songs you have all the rights to share — no covers, samples or voice clones. Zero tolerance.
- Released through DistroKid or a similar service? Welcome! Your distributor and its settings are yours to manage. If you're a member of a collecting society, or a song is handled by a publisher or label, please don't upload it unless your deal clearly allows free airplay.
- Upload through your account. MP3 or WAV, through your artist account. We don't take songs by email or links.
- Fair play for everyone. A limited number of new uploads and of songs on air per artist, plus a personal library you fully control (see Platform Limits).
- Keep it clean. Clean edits are recommended. No hate, violence, incitement, pornography or harsh profanity.
- Fair, curated airplay. We review every song, and our programming decides what airs, when and how often.
- Copyright claims. If someone claims rights in your song, we pause it until the claim is sorted out.
- Delete any time. You can delete your songs whenever you like. Shows that already aired, and published podcast episodes, keep them.
- Artists 18+, or 16–17 with a parent's consent. Listener accounts are available from age 16.
2. Platform Limits
All current limits are set out in this table. Other pages link here or show the same live values. We may adjust these limits as the Station grows; this table always shows the ones in effect.

3. For Listeners
3.1 Listening, Including in Public Places
Listening to ZIK.AIR is free. We don't charge any fee for receiving the stream, whether you listen at home, at work, or in a shop, café or other public place.
ZIK.AIR can only give permission for what is ours to give. Playing music in a public or commercial setting may require separate permission or a license from rights holders or collecting societies, depending on the law where you are. Getting any such license is your responsibility.
3.2 No Recording or Redistribution
The stream is made for live listening. Please don't record, rip, download, re-stream or redistribute it, and don't use it to train AI models. This protects the artists who share their music with us.
3.3 Keep the Community Fair
Votes, ratings and the weekly chart only mean something if they're honest. Using bots, scripts, duplicate accounts or coordinated voting to influence them is not allowed and may lead to an immediate, permanent block of the accounts and devices involved.
Bots and automated tools. Please don't use bots, scrapers, scripts or AI agents to copy content from ZIK.AIR, or to create accounts, vote, like, comment or upload, unless we've given permission. Search engines indexing our public pages are welcome.
3.4 Station Content
The Station's name, logo, design, programs, shows, host voices and other content we create belong to the Operator. Artists' songs belong to the artists. Please don't copy or reuse either without permission.
3.5 Comments
You're welcome to comment where ZIK.AIR allows it, such as on podcast episodes. Please keep it kind and on topic: no hate, harassment, threats, spam, advertising, other people's personal information, or anything that infringes someone else's rights. You're responsible for what you post. You keep ownership of your comments, and you let us display them on ZIK.AIR for as long as they're up. We may remove any comment, and block accounts that break these rules.
4. For Artists
We built ZIK.AIR to give AI music creators a real radio home, with fair exposure for everyone. The rules below keep it that way.
4.1 What Music We Accept
We accept AI-Generated Music: a song in which generative AI tools (such as Suno or similar services) created the music, the vocals, or both — with or without your own creative input, such as lyrics, prompts, arrangement, editing or production.
Songs created entirely with AI are welcome. So are songs that combine your own work with AI. We don't accept songs that are purely human-made, without the use of generative AI.
You are responsible for making sure that the terms of the AI tool you used allow you to use its output in this way. For example, some tools allow broadcast or commercial use only on a paid plan.
4.2 Your Artist Account
- Age. You must be at least 18 to create an artist account — or 16 or 17 with the consent of your parent or legal guardian. If you're 16 or 17, your parent or guardian must confirm their consent through the process we provide before you can upload and before your songs can air. By confirming, they agree to these Terms on your behalf, including the license you give us and your promises. Artist accounts aren't available to anyone under 16.
- One account, one artist. Each account represents one artist — a solo artist, a band or a project. Each artist may have only one account.
- More than one artist name? If you create music as more than one artist, open a separate account for each. Shared multi-artist accounts, such as one account for a label's roster, are not supported.
- No workarounds. Opening more than one account for the same artist, or inventing new artist identities to get around the limits, is not allowed and may lead to removal of all related songs and accounts.
- Who runs the account. The person operating an account must be the artist or be authorized by the artist. If you act for an artist (for example as a manager or label), you confirm that you have that authority, and both you and the artist are bound by these Terms.
- Accuracy. Keep your account details accurate. You're responsible for everything done through your account.
4.3 How to Submit
Upload your song as an MP3 or WAV file through your artist account. You're welcome to add links to Spotify, YouTube or other services, but a link alone isn't a submission.
We only consider songs uploaded through an artist account under these Terms. We don't accept songs sent by email, as links or through file-sharing services, and we don't download songs from other platforms. Sending us a message, file or link does not create any agreement and doesn't oblige us to listen to, review or air anything.
Each time you upload a song, you confirm on the upload form that it's yours to share for free and that you agree to these Terms. That confirmation is part of your promises to us (see Your Promises to Us).
4.4 Upload Pace, Your Library and the Bench
To give every artist a fair chance to be heard:
- You can upload one new song per upload period.
- You can keep a personal library of songs, up to the library limit.
- You choose which of your approved songs are in active rotation, up to the playlist limit. Your other approved songs wait on the bench, and you can swap them back in whenever you like.
- Songs on the bench aren't scheduled into new programs while they're benched (programs that already aired may still be rerun). If a song stays on the bench for a while, we may review whether to keep it in the catalogue, or play it from time to time as a past hit.
- Your library is yours to manage. You can see your songs and their status, and delete songs at any time (see Deleting Songs and Your Account).
The current limits are listed in Platform Limits.
4.5 Review and Airplay
Every song — together with any voice intro, lyrics, title, artwork and profile text — is reviewed, or auto-approved after a set window, before it can air. We may approve, reject, hold, pause, reschedule or remove any song at any time, at our discretion, and we may not always be able to explain why.
Approval doesn't guarantee that a song will air, or when, how often or for how long. Placement and rotation are decided by us and by our programming systems.
4.6 Ready to Air: No Pre-Release Reviews
We don't offer private, pre-release or feedback reviews. Please upload a song only when it's ready to be broadcast.
Once approved, a song may air at any time. We can't hold songs for a future release date. You're responsible for any commitments you've made to others about your song, such as release dates, exclusivity or distributor terms.
4.7 Languages
We accept songs in English, Spanish, Russian, French and Hebrew. Songs in a few other languages may be accepted, selected at the Station's discretion. We may add languages and language-specific programs in the future.
4.8 Content Standards
We want ZIK.AIR to feel welcoming to everyone, so we recommend uploading a clean edit.
Songs, lyrics, titles, voice intros, artwork and artist profiles must not include:
- verbal violence or threats;
- incitement;
- pornography or crude sexual content;
- harsh profanity;
- racism, hate speech or harassment;
- anything unlawful or defamatory.
Mild language, within reason, may be accepted. We decide what meets our standards. Breaking these rules may lead to the song being removed and the account being blocked immediately, without notice.
4.9 Originals Only — Zero Tolerance
Only original songs that you have all the rights to share are accepted. The following are not allowed:
- covers, or new versions of other people's songs;
- remixes of songs you don't own;
- samples, or melodies or lyrics taken from other people's works;
- voices that imitate or clone a real person without that person's written permission;
- any song in which someone else holds rights that you can't grant us.
We have zero tolerance here. We may remove the song and block the account immediately, and in serious or repeated cases remove the artist's entire catalog.
4.10 Songs Already Released Elsewhere, and Copyright Claims
Songs you've already released on other platforms or through a distributor are welcome, as long as they were made with AI and you have the rights and authority described in these Terms.
If anyone — a rights holder, distributor, publisher, label, collecting society, or an automated system such as YouTube Content ID — makes a claim related to your song, we may freeze or remove the song immediately and without notice. The song stays frozen until you resolve the claim to our reasonable satisfaction. If a claim concerns one of our promotional posts or podcast episodes featuring your song, we may also remove the post or episode.
- We're not responsible for the claim, or for any loss of airtime, visibility or income caused by the freeze or removal.
- We may ask you for proof of your rights, and you agree to cooperate.
- Where the law requires it, or where it's needed to resolve the claim, we may share your contact details with the person making the claim.
- Repeated claims may lead to the account being blocked.
4.11 The License You Give Us
You keep full ownership of your song, lyrics, voice intro and artwork.
By uploading, you grant the Operator a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free and free-of-charge license to:
- store your song and related materials, and make the technical copies needed to run the Station;
- stream, broadcast, publicly perform and make them available on ZIK.AIR — live, in programs and shows, in reruns, in our archive and as podcast episodes — so that listeners can hear them;
- present them in our programs the way radio ordinarily does, including station IDs, sponsor messages and ads between songs, and host talk (including AI-generated host voices) over intros or endings, and make reasonable technical adjustments such as format conversion, loudness normalization, silence trimming, fades and crossfades;
- use your artist name, image, bio, artwork, links and short excerpts of your song to present and promote your music and ZIK.AIR on the site, in our emails and on our social media channels;
- analyze your song with automated tools, including AI, for review, moderation, tagging and programming.
Radio presentation. You consent to reasonable editing and presentation of your song as part of ordinary radio programming, as described in item 3. You agree that these uses, when carried out reasonably and in the ordinary course of radio presentation, are not intended to distort your work or to harm your honour or reputation.
Credit. We identify artists in our normal song information, such as now-playing details and song pages. We don't promise that your name will be announced every time your song plays.
We may allow our service providers (such as hosting and streaming providers) to use this license only as needed to run ZIK.AIR.
Podcasts and future formats. Programs that include your song may be published on ZIK.AIR as podcast episodes. Once an episode is published, your song stays part of it, even if you later delete the song from your library. Today, songs and episodes are available only on ZIK.AIR itself (short excerpts may also appear in our promotion, as described in item 4). In the future, we may make our podcasts, or new ZIK.AIR formats, available on other platforms too. You agree that we may extend this license to such uses by updating these Terms. Before a change like this applies to your songs, we'll notify you, and you'll be able to delete any song you don't want included.
What we won't do. We won't sell your song, and we won't use it to train AI models. We use it only to run and promote ZIK.AIR and your music on it, as described in this section.
How long it lasts. The license lasts for as long as the song is in your library. After you delete a song, the license continues only for programs that already aired or were already produced (including reruns, our archive and published podcast episodes) and for promotional posts already published.
4.12 Free for Artists — No Fees, No Payment for Airplay
No fees. ZIK.AIR doesn't charge artists for uploading, review, airplay, featuring or chart placement, and placement can't be bought. Nobody is authorized to sell promotion or airplay on ZIK.AIR on our behalf. If someone asks you to pay for it, it isn't us.
No payment for airplay. The license you give us is free of charge. ZIK.AIR doesn't pay artists any fee or royalty for the uses the license covers, including reruns and archived programs. By uploading a song, you agree that no payment is due from ZIK.AIR — to you, or to anyone claiming through you — for those uses, now or in the future, to the extent you have the authority to agree to this. This stays the same if ZIK.AIR has sponsors or, in the future, advertising: artists aren't entitled to any share of that income.
Distributors, publishers and collecting societies. Releasing your song through a digital distributor (such as DistroKid, TuneCore or CD Baby) is welcome. Your distributor and its settings — such as Content ID or whitelisting — are yours to manage, and if you know how to whitelist ZIK.AIR, please do. We're not responsible for your distributor's actions or settings. If a claim reaches us, we'll freeze the song until it's settled (see Songs Already Released Elsewhere, and Copyright Claims). If you've also joined a collecting society (such as ACUM, ASCAP, BMI, PRS or SACEM), use a paid publishing service (such as DistroKid Publishing) or signed with a publisher or label, it's your responsibility to make sure your agreement with them lets you give us this free license. If it doesn't, or you're not sure, please don't upload the song.
Your agreement binds you, not them. Your agreement with ZIK.AIR binds you. It doesn't bind your distributor, publisher, label or collecting society. If any of them asks us for payment for your song, or objects to it being aired, we may freeze or remove the song, and Responsibility for Your Promises applies.
4.13 Deleting Songs and Your Account
You're in control. You can delete any song from your library, or close your account, at any time — through the portal or by emailing us. We'll remove the song from your library and from future programming, and delete the file from our active storage, within the time shown in Platform Limits.
Please note:
- Programs that already aired with your song may continue to be rebroadcast as reruns, kept in our archive and remain in published podcast episodes, and they will still include your song.
- Promotional posts already published may remain.
- Residual copies in technical backups may remain for a limited period until they're overwritten.
- Deleting a song from ZIK.AIR doesn't affect copies that exist elsewhere.
- ZIK.AIR isn't a storage or backup service. Please keep your own copies of your songs.
4.14 Featuring and Promotion
We love shining a light on artists: Artist of the Week, featured songs and artists, the weekly chart, and a spotlight for new songs on their own page and in a dedicated new-music program.
Selection is at our discretion (the weekly chart also reflects listener votes) and can't be bought. We're not obliged to feature any artist or song.
4.15 Listening Statistics and Airplay Updates
Your song pages and your portal show basic numbers, such as plays and likes. We don't currently share listener numbers or other audience data.
These numbers, and the airplay updates we send by email or show in the portal, are for your information only. They may be incomplete or change, and they are not a statement of plays for royalty, licensing or any other purpose.
4.16 Emails From Us
By creating an artist account, you agree to receive functional emails from us, such as review results, airplay digests and important account or system updates. We never sell your email address or send spam, and you can manage optional emails in your portal settings.
4.17 Your Promises to Us
We rely on what you tell us. ZIK.AIR doesn't necessarily collect or verify an artist's identity, nationality, residence, age, ownership or distribution arrangements, or other personal or rights information. We rely on your promises. You're responsible for making sure that what you tell us is accurate and that you have all the rights and authority these Terms require.
Each time you upload a song, you promise that:
- it is AI-Generated Music, as described in What Music We Accept;
- it's original, and you own or control all rights needed for the uses described in these Terms — in the music, lyrics, vocals, voice intro and artwork — including any rights you need from the AI service you used;
- it contains no unauthorized third-party material, including covers, samples, material taken from other works, or an unauthorized voice of a real person;
- it doesn't infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity or other rights, and contains nothing unlawful or defamatory;
- you have the legal right and authority to grant the license in these Terms and to agree that no payment is due from ZIK.AIR for the uses it covers, and no agreement or arrangement with a distributor, publisher, publishing administrator, record label, collecting society or other third party prevents you from doing so;
- you are at least 18 — or 16 or 17, with your parent's or guardian's consent given through our consent process — you are the artist or are authorized to act for the artist, and the song isn't uploaded under another account;
- everything you tell us — including your artist name, profile and information about the song — is accurate.
These promises apply for as long as your song is on ZIK.AIR. If anything changes (for example, you sign a publishing deal that covers the song), please tell us or delete the song.
4.18 Responsibility for Your Promises
If any of your promises is, or becomes, inaccurate, that is a breach of these Terms. To the extent permitted by law, you're responsible for any claims, losses, liabilities, costs and reasonable legal expenses we incur, to the extent they arise from that breach or from material you uploaded without authorization — including claims by distributors, publishers, labels, collecting societies or other rights holders.
This doesn't apply to the extent a claim results from our own breach of these Terms, our negligence, or changes we made to your song beyond those described in these Terms. This section continues to apply after your account is closed.
5. Freezing, Removal and Blocking
We may freeze, remove, suspend or block any song, account or device, at any time and with or without notice, if we believe these Terms were broken, if a claim is made, or if it's needed to protect the Station, our listeners, other artists or third parties.
This includes, for example, gaming community features, content that breaks our standards, covers or unauthorized voices, duplicate accounts and copyright claims. Serious or repeated breaches may lead to removal of an artist's entire catalog. A blocked user isn't entitled to compensation or to restoration of content.
6. Copyright Complaints (Notice and Takedown)
We respect intellectual property and respond to valid infringement notices.
To file a complaint, use the copyright category on our Contact page or email zik@zikairadio.com with:
- identification of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed;
- the song's page or enough detail to locate the material on ZIK.AIR;
- your contact information;
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized;
- a statement that the information is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorized to act for them;
- your physical or electronic signature.
We may freeze or remove material in response to a notice without first checking its accuracy. The uploading artist may send a counter-notice to the same address. Anyone who sends a notice they know to be false may be responsible for the resulting damage. Repeat infringers will have their accounts and catalogs removed.
7. As-Is Service and Limitation of Liability
Please read this part — it's what lets a small, independent station stay on air.
- Beta, as is. ZIK.AIR is an experimental service in beta. It is provided "as is" and "as available", with no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including availability, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We don't promise that the stream will be uninterrupted, error-free or permanently available.
- Your files and data. We use reputable cloud infrastructure, but no system is perfectly secure, and ZIK.AIR isn't a storage or backup service. To the extent permitted by law, the Operator isn't liable for loss of, or unauthorized access to, uploaded files or data caused by bugs, outages, data loss or malicious actors.
- Content and third parties. We're not responsible for content uploaded or posted by artists and listeners, including comments, for claims made by third parties about that content, for decisions made by third-party platforms, distributors or rights holders, or for external websites linked from ZIK.AIR.
- No indirect damages. To the extent permitted by law, the Operator is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, goodwill or visibility.
- Cap. ZIK.AIR is offered free of charge. To the extent permitted by law, the Operator's total liability to you for all claims related to ZIK.AIR or these Terms will not exceed the greater of ₪100 (one hundred Israeli shekels) or the total amount you paid the Operator in the 12 months before the claim.
- What we don't limit. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for wilful misconduct — or any consumer or data-protection right that cannot be waived under the law that applies to you.
8. Ideas and Feedback
We love hearing from you. If you send us ideas, suggestions or feedback, we may use them freely, without any obligation to you.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms, including the Platform Limits, from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the current version.
For material changes, we'll notify registered users by email or on the site, and we may ask you to accept the updated Terms before you continue using your account. If you keep using ZIK.AIR after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms. If you don't agree, please stop using ZIK.AIR; you can delete your songs and your account at any time.
If you don't log in. Your songs stay on ZIK.AIR when we update these Terms, even if you don't log in. For material changes, we'll email artists at least 30 days before the updated Terms apply to songs already on ZIK.AIR. If you don't delete your songs or your account within those 30 days, the updated Terms apply to the songs that remain. You can delete any song, or your account, at any time.
10. Legal Details
- Governing law and courts. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The competent courts of Tel Aviv–Jaffa have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
- Your local rights. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory rights you have under the law of your country of residence.
- Language. These Terms are written in English. If we provide a translation, the English version applies.
- Severability. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in full effect.
- Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and the Operator about ZIK.AIR.
- Assignment. You may not transfer these Terms. We may transfer them, including if ZIK.AIR moves to a company or a new operator.
- No waiver. If we don't enforce a provision, that doesn't mean we give up the right to enforce it later.
- Survival. Your promises and your responsibility for them, the license for programs that already aired, the no-payment terms and the limitation of liability continue after your account is closed.
- Contact. Questions about these Terms? Email zik@zikairadio.com.
